Does he stand out because he’s freaking huge?
When I see this cover I hear Bullwinkle.
In case anyone is having trouble hearing what Bullwinkle is saying inside my head:
Bullwinkle: Watch me pull a rabbit outta my hat!
Rocky: But that trick never works!
Bullwinkle: Nothin’ up my sleeve . . . [rips off sleeve]
[ Bullwinkle then pulls some very large animal that is not a rabbit out of his hat ]
Bullwinkle: Oops, wrong hat!
(Bullwinkle’s magic show was a running gag on Rocky and Bullwinkle. The only thing that changed from week to week was the not-a-rabbit animal.)
Rocky: And now here’s something we hope you’ll really like!
That’s some kinda magic. The dog looks like he’s been turned into a taxidermied puppet.
