At first I was speechless but now I just have to ask:
What was the need to color the dogs purple and blue?
Are they a new breed of police dog?
I agree with you Erich.
It would have worked better as some kind of DaDa college
in a cutting edge gallery. Sadly, I don’t think that was what
the author was going for.

I swear. I don’t know how the hell my comments
get spaced like some kind of poetry.
I’m really not that clever.
She was a character in the long-running British TV sitcom “Are You Being Served?” about the 6th floor sales staff at “Grace Brothers Department Store.” Played by Mollie Sugden, she was an older woman who headed up the ladies’ clothing department, assisted by young hotie Miss Brahms.
Mrs. Slocombe’s hair was always a different wild color every episode. Her references to her pet cat were always double-entendres, and the show was filled with constant sexual innuendos. DVDs of the show are available. More info about the show at:
Thank you so much for that info. I actually did see the movie “Are You Being Served”
and now in retrospect remember that character.
The English have a humor that’s all their own.
Not a bad thing.
Sometimes you can’t say anything, because words just get in the way.
“from Pittsburgh to the waters off Amelia Island, Fla., to Montana, Baltimore, and McLean, Va.”
It’s the globe trotting and exotic locals the bring the readers in.
I’m finding the cover kind of fascinating. It’s almost like some DaDaesque anti-cover that dares you to check out the book.

This is the kind of cover that inspires poetry.
But not good poetry; the kind that doesn’t rhyme and has no rhythm, basically just prose with random breaks.
The kind Jen writes. 😛
Maybe I should try my hand at Lousy Book Covers Haiku.
You know, switch it up a little.
Justice is either color blind or has his hair done at the same beauty parlor as Mrs. Slocombe (perhaps both).
I don’t see a problem with this cover. It is probably one of the best ever. Everything is perfect. I won’t be buying the ebook though.
Mrs. Slocombe also has her pussy dyed at the parlor, too!
Who is Mrs. Slocombe?
I suddenly feel really ignorant.

This is a perfect cover as long as the book is about flying blue dogs trying to kill the the captain of police.
Two words… Levitating dogs.
