Did the Germans even use stencil fond in WW2? I tend to associate it with the U.s. military.

Maybe they had German stencil font? Similar to the medieval-ish font used in their posters etc.

Whose name is Detrick in this? Does not sound like a German name to me.

Detrick is actually a reasonably common male, German name though it’s the Americanized spelling (German would Dietrich, there’s also a Dutch male name Diederik). So my money would be on the boy.

Yes, I know Dietrich is a German name – Detrick is not. Was it not set in Germany? Why would his name be spelled in American way? A bit like if you set the story in Italy and changed every Giuseppe to Joseph.

My apologies, I missed the sarcasm in your initial post. As for using the Americanized spelling, I’m with you on that one.

This would be an okay cover without the frame and with a different font.

The way the Nazi flag and the star of David were photoshopped in is crude though.

Why would there be a Star of David on the
same wall as the Nazi flag? Seems like a
conflict of interests to me.
