I think you all are losing your eye for horrors. This one is good enough that I can actually articulate what ought to be changed to make it a solid design, as opposed to the usual, where I’m shouting “My eyes! The goggles do nothing!” 😀
The upper purple box should be wider (with bigger left and right margins), not as tall (with even top and bottom margins), and should extend all the way to the edge without that tiny bit of picture showing through. And the lower box… well, either the text layout needs to be reduced so that the box can be made much shorter from top to bottom or if you really want to keep that “A Family Affair” in that style, it needs to be worked into the layout in a non-invasive way, rather than letting it force the purple box to be so tall.
And I’m confused about who the author is, because there are two names here. I’d be tempted to recrop the photo to move the faces down, put the title up at the top, move the bottom box lower, make it shorter, and on the first line, say [“A Family Affair” Book 13] and on the second line, say [By Mallory Monroe].

This book has to be pure wonderment, wrapped in excitement, and dipped in chocolate!
Hmmmm. Maybe they should have a sockpuppet on the cover, too.
The worst part is…there are 12 before this. {sigh}. I guess that, er, romantica really is popular, eh?
From the blurb:
“His beautiful African-American wife is meeting men in motel rooms and creating a chasm”
Now that’s good writing!
Oh, is that what the kids are calling it these days?
