Damn! That art is copyrighted! I wanted to steal it and pass it off as my own…

The only thing worse than bad cover art is bad cover art that the creator is obnoxiously proud of.

For someone calling himself an artist I’d expect a better quality cover art.

Your cover is your first impression. If it’s an art book, you want to put your best work up there. I honestly hope this isn’t the artist’s best.

And may I just add… That drawing freaks me out.

I’m scared to think he may have tried for something new, but he thought this effort, from 1994, was still the best one . . .

Well, the artist is over 80, maybe he thinks he learned all there is to know a long time ago? Now I’m dying to peep inside, by I’m on a mobile device and Smashwords just refuses to cooperate.

I’ve been wondering about what makes someone a writer or an artist. Is it just the act of creating, or are you required to be any good at it? A lot of those writing “support” blogs say that since you are writing, you should declare yourself a writer. But, that girl that wrote “My Immortal”, the internet’s worst fanfic ever, she was writing too. Does that make her a writer? The guy that scribbles a few lines on a piece of paper, and the guy that spends decades perfecting his craft, do they both get to call themselves artists?

Anyone can be a writer. Doesn’t mean they’re any good!
