“OK, men. We’re going to need someone to act as bait while the rest of us go and wait on this platform over here which defies the laws of perspective. You’ll be sacrificing yourself for the greater good of book covers everywhere. Any volunteers?

“Humphrey! You’re the only one of us with legs; at least you’ll have a chance of outrunning the blasted thing.”

[snark]Where I live, hunting over bait is allowed under limited circumstances, but even when hunting over bait is allowed, human bait is not permitted.[/snark]

I can accept the art as the work of childhood. I cannot accept the tiny title no author in a box. It is not readable at thumbnail and does not sell the book to a casual browser.

I did not see the vic in my first pass.

He (the unfortunate slow bait) is either a midget, or that is one Gi-normous cat.

Well, that title is sure gonna be legible in thumbnail.

This is what googling your own work leads to. Serves me well. 🙂

BTW, if you read the book, you would probably be a bit more forgiving of the cover.

Fair enough, but the Ana’s would really be redfaced that her snarky comments about the way the bait was set if she actually read the book. So, yes, there may have been a few glaring issues with the cover, but her comments are totally rubbish in the context of the story.
