Obviously, the author’s name is the most important thing on the cover… even more important than the title in a script font.

This is quite possibly the laziest cover I have ever seen. Even the lousiest of covers on here usually had SOME thought put into them. This is just ridiculous. If an author does not care enough about their book to put some effort into finding a cover that compliments it and lends to it, then I cannot be expected to care enough to read it.

(hmmm. Left this comment yesterday and it’s gone now. ? Reposting in case it was an accident.)

The description of the book on Amazon is also worth a look for students of what not to do. I’ll limit myself to one sentence: “This text presents, a tale of reward of a good citizen juxtaposing it the comeuppance of wicked spirited citizen.” Boy howdy, I can’t imagine the actual text could be hard to get through, nosirree…

(Of course, I’ve discovered that the drawback of clicking through to Amazon to check the descriptions is that Amazon then thinks you want to be e-mailed news of all further works by these authors and those judged similar…)

Come on, if you want to put no effort into the cover just use a solid background and a single font, at least it would look like you know what you wrote about.
