Author and title should be readable at thumbnail to get my attention as I scuttle about the internet.

Seriously, they couldn’t just have bought an actual fortune cookie and photographed it? They couldn’t spare the five minutes or so it would have taken to print the hostile message on the slip of paper, slip it into the broken halves of the fortune cookie, and take a picture of it? That’s lazy.
Not much of a fortune. One word – death. It all seems rather vague. Whose death? My death? Your death? Or is it just an observation? “Death.” Like “cloudy” or “sleep.”
I guess I’m just not smart enough to figure it out.
Posre: It isn’t one of those covers where you sit there thinking, “almost.” This is definitely beyond salvation.
The cover actually looks much better as a thumbnail.
The pixelation certainly goes away at thumbnail, yeah. Too bad the title and byline are no longer readable, though :/
I could still read them. I don’t think it’s a good cover, but at least whoever designed it realized that most people will first see it as a thumbnail.
At thumbnail, the title appears to be “Death”.

The local oriental restaurants don’t use that font on fortune cookies. Their fortunes are rectangular slips, not squares.
I think that fortune cookie broke when they squished its aspect ratio. I’m beginning to hate this cover.
