Yeah, I can imagine how that brainstorming session might have gone:

“So, like, this were-hound falls for this were-fox, and then they mate in human form, and then she gives birth to a litter of little were-half-breeds… which would be, like, the COOLEST THING EVER!”

Werehound (half man, half hound) and a werevixen (half woman, half fox) present some interesting genetic inheritance questions.

Bio 101: The male with 46XY genes produces sperm with 23X and 23Y genes; the female with 46XX genes produces ova with 23X and 23X genes.

Do the male sperm carry both human and canine genes? Do the female ova carry both human and vulpine genes? That would make their offspring half-human, one-quarter canine and one-quarter vulpine.

Or does one sperm carry the human genes and the other the canine, and one ova carry the human genes and the other the vulpine? Could they produce totally human offspring, werehound, werefox, or half-canine/half-vulpine offspring?

What would their family reunions and summer vacations be like? Thanksgiving dinners could be disasters, given the table manners I have observed among people, hounds and foxes.

I know when it comes to romance and sex, the younger generation thinks only of tonight and themselves, but in real life there are tomorrow morning and the next generation to consider.
