When I came across this book on Amazon, it reminded me of a weird news story I’d read a few years ago about a 29-year-old child molester named Neil Havens Rodreick II who went around posing as a 12-year-old named Casey so he could (among other things) enroll in various schools as a seventh grader. That wasn’t the weirdest part of the story, though: when law enforcement caught up with him, he was found to be living in a sexual relationship with two other molesters (Lonnie Stiffler, 63, and Robert Snow, 46) who’d fallen for his act and also thought he was a little boy.
Suffice to say, it made for one heck of an interesting case for the lawyers to sort out. The article included a picture of the guy, and the one thing those of us discussing it at the time agreed was that those two molesters living with him seriously needed to get their eyes checked.
Besides the boring cover, the wordy title, the blatant spoiler….what really has me scratching my head is….
ummmm…..who hires a babysitter for a 20-year-old man?
A 20-year-old man who can’t get a date any other way.
That was my first thought as well.
