I have to draw attention to the quote, which is perhaps less impressive than the cover designer thought. “Sharp dialogue” actually is praise, but everything else is merely descriptive, with no indication as to the book’s quality. I mean, it is perfectly possible for a novel to have “shadowy settings and severe, coldblooded violence” and be perfectly awful.
