It’s like those animated TV ads for drugs (for some reason the one for overactive bladder featuring people made out of brass piping seems to stick in my mind); there’s just something creepy about them.
She seems too thin to need a gastric sleeve. Is the book arguing that people should get them as a preventive measure?
