Layering. Sorta works in RGB. Ten years ago it was a PitA in CMYK. Even when it works, covers are less legible. With this cover, at 25% (thumbnail), it is hard to see the Jewish aspect.
Since a shaman is a priest, wouldn’t a better title be “The Shaman and the Rabbi”? Apparently this book is comparing the fate of the Indian and Jewish faiths in the new world, so “The Indian and the Jew” wiuld be more fitting.
