You just can’t have too much italic text. Also, I hate the color scheme.

Also have to wonder who wrote all these sayings. The author? I doubt it, so that raises copyright issues in my mind, as well. Or are they all public domain?

These are pretty bad sayings, and they must be the best ones to be on the cover, so I’m guessing the author wrote them.

The author says: My Mother is told mostly in the first-person narrative and from the author’s point of view. Set mostly in St. Lucia, the memoir juxtaposes the author’s personal experience of his mom, his mother’s researched life story (and that of her relatives), and St. Lucia’s contemporary history.
