Now just make the ghost more transparent. A lot more transparent.

Ghost stories totally need a cover that’s a Second Life avatar, pasted in as posing in a fantasy gothic setting, with white background that they couldn’t isolate so went with blur on hair and bloody footmarks without any actual shoes, legs or feet.
Really building the spookeh.
This is so bad I am more scared of what goes on in the author’s head that served to justify this than I could ever be of the story.
AHA! You might be on to something, lastochka. How would someone with no legs and no feet leave bloody shoe marks?! Technically, shouldn’t it be stump marks?
Seeing as the red blobs *look* like they’re supposed to be high heels… they couldn’t actually get the av’s feet in view as it’s all froofy skirt time.
I’m all for being aware of ableist thinking, but this cover is not it.
Someone was playing Second Life a little too much.
I’m not familiar with Second Life, so I just saw a pseudohuman. But really, in thumbnail size, this isn’t as bad as a lot of covers here.
