Oooh! Lots of black… Black wolf, red eyes, vertical red type (looks like the spine art is included as an, um, “freebie”), a hot chick silhoette in a green chrysalis, little decorative thingies right under the italic front title, and a cute leaf in the middle of the spine title.
Love the “copyrighted material” notice top and bottom. (Is that something the CreateSpace cover template automatically inserts? Seen that a lot on LBC covers and have wondered about it.)
They have them on the print books but not on the Kindle ebooks.

If you were a middle high school teacher and gave a homework assignment to design a book cover, many would look like the covers on this website. (However, a few of those might actually be pretty impressive.) Authors should strive to achieve for a professional touch. Are customers looking for professionally written books, or do they want to pay for book report quality? Image counts.
IGNORANT authors think that, with no training whatsoever, they are capable of creating an adequate book cover… The sad thing is, they seldom know how very wrong they are!

This is…disturbing. Just plain disturbing.

So I have been wrong all this time, it is not birds and the bees, but wolves and caterpillars?

I know it can be hard to tell wolves apart but isn’t that wolf picture the same one that’s graced some of the other covers? Are they all using the same image?

A clueless newbie author multifecta here.
Amazon put that there. If you browse books on Amazon, even traditionally published, you’ll see that notice.
Are you sure about that? Went to Amazon and did some browsing. On the clickable thumbnails, some books had the top/bottom notice, others did not.

I would not be surprised.
