A hole punch?! This image was cut out with a hole punch!
There are no words. If you are too lazy to find scissors for your awful disgrace of a cover. Just… wow.
There is this wonderful program called Photoshop.
With it you can neatly extract images instead of using what I can only imagine was a hole punch to crop out the image.
Here’s another anonymous quote for your cover, Scott:
“Very painful. I’m looking forward to the moment when the author realizes he has no talent for creating covers.”
Not a hole punch…a round “eraser” brush in Gimp or Photoshop. Amateur hour, to be sure. Yikes, what a ragged holey mess.
Yup, eraser brush. I’m not a fan of the magic wand tool, but it would have done a better and faster job than this hack job (not a good job, merely better). But I can not even fathom the carelessness with which it was done, leaving ugly chopped-up patches of white on most places and cutting into the drawing on other. As if the person couldn’t care less how it looked like. I can’t imagine someone bothering to publish something on Amazon then treating his work in such an appalling way. It’s one thing when the author puts in some genuine work, but just has no artistic/designing sense, as it’s often case with layers upon layers covers (as horrible as they look, they’re at least done well from technical point of view), but it’s a completely new level of crappy when you can’t even be bothered to cut outside the lines of your own cover image. It’s like who ever done it was half blind.
Where’s the original cover?
