I can’t help but wonder… does the creator of this cover have eyes??? Maybe he or she has some kind of vision impairment? Color blindness? I just can’t understand how someone with a healthy pair of eyes can make something like this.

Maybe color blindness could explain why fire is in red font but the darkness is in YELLOW.

To bad that fire is not real fire that could burn this cover out of existence.

Fire and the Darkness:

“Paul is employed by the State as a Teacher. He travels a long journey to his workplace in the rural areas. He expects to see his girlfriend Rosaline after some four months. His first night experiences and pain in the morning contributes to his decision to stay or not.”

Hmmm.

Paul needs to learn what a condom is, his girlfriend has obviously been around. Maybe it’s an STD awareness book?

The way this is written is awkward and redundant and ungrammatical. I assume it’s supposed to mean ‘Paul teaches in a rural area while maintaining a long-distance relationship with Rosaline.’ I have no idea what the last sentence is supposed to mean. As Catie says, it seems to suggest he contracted some terrible STD from having sex with her.

Maybe it’s supposed to be the age of the author? Which is probably closer to 6 than 18.

Those are no moons. Those are space stations.

Nope. Neither. Those are orbiting crescent rolls. I can see stars where the shadowed parts of the moons, or even space stations, should be.

Assuming those are even stars.

The “stars” could be out-of-focus raindrops on a picture window looking out on a nightscape with brushfire. The second crescent could be a reflection of the first. If we have to guess at what the cover is showing, I guess it means the cover could be better.
