“Hey, the cover looks almost perfect! All it needs now is a portrait of my cat!”
“No, i really don’t think that –”
“Meow.”
“Fine.”

I’m glad for the cat. It hides some of that weird floating egg that is glowing onto his hands and face, yet is also caught in the cat’s shadow. I don’t think that I’ve ever seen a shadow on a light.
I was all like, hey, this looks pretty good. Then I scrolled down and doused my keyboard in coffee. PosRe — this cover has great comic timing.
That Maine Coon is thinking…”Yup, all the douchebags that came through the Rescue Shelter, and I got THIS one….”
I have seen covers with more conflicting light sources for the paste-on elements.
Maybe part of the magic is the inner glow of the cat in an otherwise dark, crystal ball- and candle-lit room.
Now that’s what I call an awesome soul patch. Looks just like a mini landing strip.
I’m glad to see that Lou Diamond Philips is working again.
