The Other of One: Book One

If the poor resolution is an attempt to disguise substandard art… it’s not working.

It must be a pun. There is only one, and you get to choose whichever of the one you want (like North Korea elections.) You choose the other.
The pun would be funnier if you were solidly drunk, trust me.

I hate the font on this. And the art is really atrocious unicorn stuff.

I really don’t have a problem with the cover. At thumbnail size it seems fine. I’m more concerned that the artwork was lifted from elsewhere as I didn’t see the illustrator receive a credit in the opening of the book.

Yes, the blurry picture and the font treatment really do lead me to believe that this is stolen artwork.

If you stole artwork, why would you not steal good artwork?

Yeah, this isn’t awful. Seems to lack contrast though, all the colors have similar saturation and tone. It does have an Oz feel with the low-tone “reality” and the colorful “vision” element. Looks like a flying dinosaur or dragon or something? The person’s body could be reworked a bit, he’s kinda lumpy-postured. Needs a different font for the by-line and a dark color so it stands out better against the soft background.

Really like the bike.

Anyone else bothered by the crooked horizon? Water on a slant?

Yup, that bothered me too. I couldn’t work out if could actually possibly somehow be correct, but it sure *looks* wrong.
