The Warrior’s Debt

You know those white edges around everything? They’re really not supposed to be there. Honest.

Nathan, either the author bought the artwork and updated his photo before you could post it here or I’m missing what you mean by white halos.

I think the cover is OK, though I have no idea what is casting that shadow behind the title. The rest of the bridge shadows indicate that there might be a cloaked Klingon drone hovering right next to the right support cable.

Gotcha. For some reason I was looking for watermarks from a stolen pic. Yes, I see what you mean, and yes it is annoying.

Annoying, like shaky matte lines in a movie FX sequence using traveling mattes in superimposition cinematography.

Did someone move the Brooklyn Bridge to Mars? It seems the only logical explanation for the RED hues.

It also goes a long way in explaining standing in the middle of the Brooklyn Bridge in midday without another soul in sight.

And maybe the halos are actually force fields around the martian visitor allowing him to breathe.

Yeah it do look so, which requires adding a guide book on Variants of the Colt .45 to sit with Wolves of the World.

There are subtle differences in species that can tell a lot.

That looks like it’s a Colt 1911 XSE variant named Colt Rail Gun adopted by USMC for special units as M45A1 Close Quarter Battle Pistol.
