I bought a hard copy of this book years ago and its cover was a single gauze wrapping with nice lettering, simple and sweet hiding good book inside. The variant cover is similar with the exception of a man’s terrified eye peaking through a rip in the gauze.
This monstrosity cover came out of nowhere.
Wilson is pretty strict when it comes to the covers of his books so I have a feeling this cover was used without his consent.
I dunno. The epublisher is “Wilsongs, Inc.,” and his other ebook offerings are of similar quality. My guess is that he’s re-releasing his backlist on his own, with a family member graciously contributing the covers.

Friends don’t let friends hire their “artistic” relatives to do the covers for their backlist releases…
Pity, because the book is very, very good.
But man, that cover is horrid.
