Even though I’m familiar with this site as containing almost exclusively book covers, it still took me a few minutes to realize that I was looking at a book cover! Yeah, I suppose it is a little bit different…

I think fragments from that magical forest landed on this cover.
A lot of people (like me) even do it for free, just because we don’t like to see books suffer.

There’s a sort of naivete about this cover. I believe this person actually believes that she has made something nice, something she is happy to share with people, failing to realize that it needs to look a lot more professional than that to be taken seriously. Makes me sad.

And – they’re not so magical after all.
How do you mess up a webcam selfie like that?
You answered your own question!
Lesson: Webcam selfies are not appropriate for book covers. Or anything else except maybe your Skype profile.
I have one on my Amazon profile. But it’s not all pixelated and blurry. All I did was take it with Photo Booth and crop it down to size.
Agree that webcam selfies are not appropriate for book covers, though, most definitely.

Is that a Slovenian word that failed the translate program or a typo for “little”?
Too many book covers we see from indie press or self-pub that need a once-over proofread before release to the public.
