Wow. I actually do like that title font, for this genre. And the wolves are, themselves, beautiful. Wrong for this cover, probably, and the rest of the cover is just bizarre,, but I like the font and adore the wolves.
@Decca: you nearly made me spew coffee on my laptop keyboard! (applause).

It’s interesting that the brick wall in the title is almost entirely hidden by…the title! It took me a while to find it.

Also, aside from the incongruous wild animals, where is magic? There’s a castle and a guy proposing. Usually, there should be some indication of magic in this genre, especially in the title.
I would like this if I knew Jim Fowler (link) was up in one of those towers with a sniper rifle aimed at the guy down on one knee.

I lurve the sad little bear, looking out at the reader saying “How did this happen to me? I was only going for a dump in the woods… and now I don’t know my way back to reality…”
Carpathian region contains the Carpathia Mountains or simply Carpathians, Romania and Moldova, corresponding roughly to the region also known as Translvania, which explains why the boy and girl don’t cast shadows.
Where nothing except buildings cast a shadow because magical Carpathian light comes from all directions!
(Bye, Wolfie! See you next time!)
Is it bad that the only thing I like on this is the font?
Not at all. This cover is somehow assembled so that if you like any one part, you must hate the rest.
Wow, that’s exactly how my husband proposed to me.

I meant, “given the title.”

Isn’t Carpathia… like, a real place? I think there are Carpathian mountains at any rate.
