Man, that hand against the foggy glass is a genuinely creepy and effective image.
… And then there’s everything, everything, everything else about this idiotic, brain-dead abortion of a “cover”…

The hand against the foggy glass is creepy in a different way if you’ve ever seen James Cameron’s ‘Titanic’.. 😉

Yes, I was just about to say the same thing. This cover had a lot going for it. I even like the hand-drawn feel of it. But the fonts!!! And the font colors! My eyes, the burn…

This image–the base–is one of those perfect candidates for Derek’s DIYBookCovers doodah. The author could take it, put it there, find a REAL font, and you know, it wouldn’t be horrible. Granted, it would be better if the hand-on-glass were the whole thing…well, hell, there you go. The hand on the rounded glass window, alone, with the title and author names above/below. Even that would be so,so, SOOOO much better!

That hand on the foggy glass reminds me of the DVD cover of “The Human Centipede” — no thanks.

If I did not have that baggage in the back of my mind, I would agree with Hitch’s positive reinforcement.

I would add that an internet cover must work at thumbnail size — the way a lot of web book browsers will see it.
