It makes sense when an author is self-publishing the ebook version of a book that was previously published by a traditional publisher, and the author doesn’t have the rights to the cover art (see *Eye of the Raven* from yesterday). However, in this case both versions are from the same publisher (and I’m about 80% sure that’s the same model on both covers), so who knows?
The ebook cover is better: it’s just boring and amateurish, while the print version is a mess.
The second version is a mess. Especially the brown and red drippy font — reminds me of melted chocolate cherries.
Why on earth would you have two different covers for the same book? Oh, right. Because you have no freaking idea what you are doing.
