The guy: “Ooo, what does this button do?”
The gal: “That one runs a filter over this photo. Cause everything is cooler with filters. It also makes the 3D on the title and the author’s name go one direction and the catchphrase in the other. Because time travel.”

Looks like they got caught in the Star Wars carbon-freeze chamber.
Oh, wait, I know–now all we need are silhouettes of two little kids, romantically clasping hands, in the middle, with a triangle behind them…. :-/
More seriously–if we can ever be serious here–that reminds me of that show, ye gods, about 50 (eek) years ago now, the time-travelers that were caught in the time-travel (think…Quantum Leap, sorta), and every time they leapt, you got this horrible swirly b&w tube…honestly, I’m pretty sure that’s where the idea for this cover came from, because it’s, ahem, HIGHLY reminiscent and homage-y.

The Time Tunnel! With a little Photoshop 2 added in.
I must admit, that made me laugh far more that I should have!
What’s worse, is I’m 99% sure that I can actually hear the damn theme song from that show in my head, now, too. CRAPPITY!!
(Of course, it could be any one of those 1960’s-70’s pseudo-sci-fi shows, too. Probe–anyone remember that one?)
I just hope that the next leap is the leap home.
I’ll never think about the drain in the shower the same way again.
