Chronicles of the Virtual Realms
I will never understand indie authors who procure a custom cover, complete with title, and then slap it into a premade template that adds nothing except a repetition of the title.

Is the steampunk setting the virtual realm? Because the characters in it are all wearing VR headsets. So . . . are WE the virtual realm?
Well, the sales page summary says the characters in this story are playing some kind of video game, and a fair number of RPGs these days involve steampunk settings, so…
Incidentally, I suspect the image itself is A.I. generated; DeepAI in particular has an actual “Steampunk” setting, as does (I seem to recall) NightCafe, and it wouldn’t be difficult to tell the generator to give everybody headsets that looked appropriate for characters in a steampunk world. As our host says, it’s not the image that’s a mistake; it’s slapping that stupid cover template on a cover that clearly didn’t need anything else on it and thereby needlessly duplicating the title too.
I agree, this looks typical AI.
Yep. Check out the pointy Adam ‘s apple, and everyone’s hands.
