Really well hidden. I suppose the point is that there’s a gun amidst the array of cooking utensils. I also suppose poor judgment applies to all aspects of the book’s creation, since that what the cover conveys.
I was thinking the galaxy’s best chef included a weapon in their cooking tools because they killed people (and or aliens) to serve up in their galaxy-famous restaurant. Aspects of Soylent Green and To Serve Man. And to be honest, I would like to read that story. I could see it as serious/horror or darkly funny.
I could tweak this cover to suit a story like that. With a better title, like Little Green Men Make the Best Burgers or something…
