*Okay, technically I can only see that the top book has a lousy cover, but I’m willing to lay odds on the quality of the others.
Heh. That tiny tabletop statuette in the picture reminds me of some of the background scenery from the start of the original 8-bit NES game Ninja Gaiden‘s infamous Level 6-2, which at least one reviewer I can recall (though I can’t seem to find his review anymore) pointed out was a perfect foreshadowing of how the player was likely to feel after playing it a bunch of times.
