That is a traditional Inuit ceremonial mask, done a fairly respectable style. From this cover I’d expect a story involving traditional Inuit mythos, etc.
Yeah, I was wondering why this one was here, actually. Then I read the tags…and the cut and paste is pretty apparent. I’d also cite it for minor infractions against typography, but this level of bad is so much better than what we see here normally it shocked me.
As you suspect, it was the cut-and-paste (specifically the magic wanding around the mask that cut off sections of the wicker work around it) which earned this cover its place here.
