Please tell me this is a contemporary He-Man retelling.
Sure, I’ll tell you that. I don’t think that’s what it is, but I’m always up for lying.
I’m afraid I don’t get the “mismatched art styles” tag. As far as I can tell, the two men are in the same art style (allowing for the difference in clothing. Or lack thereof.)
My main issue was that I had read the bulk of the book on her blog before she posted the cover. And it is not a gay romance, which is what the cover looks like to me.
Beg to differ. One is a photograph. The other is either entirely digitally painted, or a photo which has been used as the basis for a complete overpainting.
They are both AI created with Midjourney.
Well, it mos def does look like gay romance, no argument.
And yeah, as Nathan says–Blondie there is digitally painted, probably an AI effort these days; the brunette (would that be brunet?) is an image. They clash, visually. Pretty badly, too.
They were both created with Midjourney.
In which case, Midjourney created them separately with different looks. The fact remains: One is photorealistic. The other is not. (And it took me four tries to type “photorealistic.”)
separately, obviously. AI can generate some truly terrible images, but they’re usually a single unified design style.
