Mounting Mountain Men? Is this some giant-muscle-sized Brokeback Mountain thing? I mean…”mounting” is a time-honored term that ha pretty much meant that since forever…???
I just double checked the Amazon page–it’s MF romance, and the M is described as “over the top alpha” so doubt there’s any pegging going on…
I mean, in indie publishing, not knowing the popular connotations of word–or even the basic meaning–has never stopped anyone from asking for money for their…um, storytelling?
Well…given that this is, after all, LBC, my issue isn’t particularly the genre, but the fact that I cannot tell the genre, the MM or M/F or ? from the cover. Or who-knows-what. (Honestly, he looks like a Survival Show person, right?)
Either that’s a bit daftly deliberate (“oh, maybe someone who wants something else will accidentally see my cover and buy this book and come to LUV M/F romance/heat”) or it’s completely inadvertent, which is worse in some ways and better in others. Who will stop and look at this book, if they can’t tell if it’s their line of…well, stimulation???
Uh… I read this as “Mountain Man Fixed”. I might not be wrong – after all, they’re not showing his nether regions (for which I am grateful)!
“Mounting Mountain Men”
Weird taxidermy

My money’s on “completely inadvertent”
LOL
Yeah, @Syd, I suspect that you are completely right.
