After a flood and fever kill 90% of the world population, two young women escape a labor camp and cross America in search of their dreams.
Is “dullpocalypse” a new subgenre aesthetic?

It ain’t worth it. Once “the dream” flees into the desert I say let it go and die out there. What will kill it first? Sun, scorpion, or sandworm?
Reader apathy.
Isn’t there a newish show on streaming that is literally the identical plot to this book? Two women, dystopia, end of the world, virus, all that?
Sounds familiar, but there are only so many dystopian apocalypse plots that they all seem to run together. Personally, I prefer my dystopias more along the lines of 1984, A Clockwork Orange, and the movie, Brazil. No apocalypse required.
