The Amazon description mentions that it’s also available in Spanish and Portuguese. Maybe it’s less stupid in one of those other languages.

Square brackets are often used to indicate that the text is subject to confirmation or change. Looks like someone forgot something. And is it acceptable for an author to have a name that long?
