In theory it could work. There have been books I’ve seen here where the title seemed intriguing enough that I clicked on the Amazon link with the intention of buying if the blurb and sample were good.
However, in 100% of cases so far, it’s turned out that the cover was an accurate representation of the competence demonstrated in the writing.
I think Ginia, Seven Souls, and Chrysalis got worse. Like oh, our previous cover wasn’t bad enough, what can we do to make it even worse
I am beginning to suspect a number of self published authors believe appearing and staying on Lousy Book Covers is free publicity
