Noble Savage Cooking: Food and Manners for a Corrupt Civilization

From the description, I think it’s maybe supposed to be a humor book. I’ll never know for sure. (h/t Curtis)

I cannot tell, cannot be certain, what those brown things are. Are those…strips of bacon? I mean, it looks like fried worms?!

It doesn’t really look like any bacon I’ve ever seen, yet the only food item it remotely resembles is bacon.

Again, I’ll bet YouTube has numerous “how to” videos on food photography that this author was too arrogant or too lazy (or both) to look at.

I agree. It’s the un-bacon, but what else can it be?

You’re supposed to take the photo of the food before you consume it and then read a book while sitting backward in car as it navigates Forcella Lavardet.

Is the cover design intended to reflect the corruptness of the civilization?
