Is this supposed to be satire of epic fantasy? That monster twisting to pose for the cover. The bedsheet dude with the Narnia lamp post. The yellow balloon pretending to be a shadowy sun. What a weird cover. The artist shows some skill but no sense of how the art comes together to create a coherent visual story.
Based on the sample on Amazon, I think it’s supposed to BE epic fantasy.
The drawing of the girl is almost exactly duplicated as an interior illustration, but it’s not cut-and-pasted. I suspect it comes down to “this is how I draw a girl” and there’s not really any capacity to draw her in a different pose or from a different angle. Same with the goblin at the back — “this is how I draw a goblin”.

The illustration of the girl is pretty good, but the rest of the art is cock-a-doodle-shit.
