Awwww…. I wanted that ‘5’ to be a ‘4,’ so that the title could be ‘4Ever A Rogue!’ That would’ve been so much better… well no, not much better – maybe a teeny bit better…

I like the upside down pedestal fixture being used as a pendant.

It could also be used on a wall bracket, but regardless it’s upside down.

Uh….well, if you say so. Looks like it’s dangling as it ought, though.

Retired electrician. The wider end goes up so the cap can shield it from the weather and the angle of the globe casts the light out and down.

I’ve certainly seen street lamps and porch lamps like that–and I agree that logically, the wider end should be at the top, not the bottom. But..it’s funny, I was just somewhere that had about 12-18 of these and I could SWEAR that they were all hung pretty much as shown. Funny, eh?

You also don’t hang exterior fixtures by a chain since the cord needs to weave through it and pass through a hole in the middle of the hoop finial. That would allow water to enter.

Yeah…damn, I have some horror story about something like that from a neighbor, 100-million years ago…wish I could recall it now. DANG.

No, he’s right! The final the bit that goes at the very top- is on the bottom. Also, it should be narrow at the bottom and wider at the top.
