Still can’t erase memory for me of that CGI Final Fantasy movie in theaters round the turn of the century. In which the girl’s spacesuit somehow still permitted her nipple outlines to be visible.

Unless the Mandela Effect is real and I am having memory of something the time travelers erased because it was soooo inappropriate, advance promo artwork of the Aki Ross character in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001) seemed to show nipples visibly under her space pressure suit. Best of my recollection is the pics were in Entertainment Weekly or Wired, but i won’t swear it to the Jan.6 Committee. What I strongly remember was hype that the Aki Ross software would became so popular it would be leased out to other roles, making her the first virtual movie star. At the time I thought to myself, “Well, if she can do THAT with her chest..” But I was too much of a gentleman to speak it. Evidently no longer the case.
That doesn’t even happen in her bikini poster. There is an image of her in a leather outfit for an article about bringing back dead actors, but that’s the closest I am aware of.
In the interest of cinematic research I thumbed through the IMDb stills (search Tifa Lockhart Final Fantasy (2001) The Spirits Within). There are several scenes of Tifa in a spacesuit. Her breasts were well shaped in the suit, but no nipples visible. May be IMDb was prudish and airbrushed the images.
No, that’s how she looks in the movie. The only hint of it is the female soldier when she’s wearing a tank top.
Or maybe whatever print publication I think I saw this image in had a fangeek-male graphics artist who did it to the art for some ungodly reason. Trying really to cast me mind back where I saw this, but coming up zero.
