IN DISGRACE WITH FORTUNE

IN DISGRACE WITH FORTUNE

A coming-of-age travel adventure of an anglo-Caribbean
man who flees Britain, to West Africa, in the early 1980s,
in search of his African identity, and discovers the meaning
of life and love through his experiences & encounters.

Who guessed that from the cover? Anyone?

If the description had said that he was trying to find his “roots,” then we could at least have tied in the plant that way. As it is, the only way this cover makes sense is if this “anglo-Caribbean man” discovers that he actually identifies as a fern.
