We need a new tag–the “walks into a bar” tag. It means that a cover is trying too hard–it’s got that whole “A white chick, a black chick, and an Asian walk into a bar, and…” thing going on.
More and more, brother, more and more. Hell, we JUST had one on CC.com. If you really looked at that one cover (the one set in historic Africa, if you’ll recall) that’s exactly what was on the cover. A white guy, black lady, black gent in the background, along with an Indian fellow AND an Asian fellow. I mean…that’s a bar joke right there. 🙂
Better rendered pseudohumans than many featured covers but it looks like someone could not be bothered to change the body pose of the 3d form other than a few degrees of rotation.
They don;t even look rendered. They look flat with basic shading, like the model preview. I’ve used pseudohumans and when fully rendered they look like real objects, even if the uncanny valley remains somewhat present. The best solution is to have them looking at something in the background of the image and actually render them with proper lighting.

Do we really have enough of those for its own tag?

I like that new tag
To which new tag do you refer, @Ian?
the “walks into a bar” tag.
Alrighty, there’s a vote! My campaign commences!

NOT TO MENTION–about that “lighting sources” tag…I mean, hello!
“We are the robots…
deet, deet-deet-deet
we are the robots
deet, deet-deet-deet”
Well this cover certainly has the Uncanny Valley vibe!
This is one of the stranger Skyrim mods.
Lincoln shandn’t have done this
