OK, this looks like a “LitRPG” book from the Smashwords description. Ie. “person interacts with an/or gets trapped inside a video game”. I’ve seen a wide variety of cover styles for that from abstract mystic symbols to generic fantasy (dude with a sword), often with elements suggesting a game interface. Here it took me a while to recognize this as a distorted landscape image, and that doesn’t do anything for me. If we’re going to see a virtual landscape and nothing else, it should at least be recognizable. And just making it look like computer graphics won’t be interesting. To convey that it’s “distorted” it could be drawn in several graphics styles (realistic, wireframe, toon) and have different parts of the image do each.

Either it’s an acid trip or it’s the predator POV.

When said Predator has over-indulged, on some form of Alien Ale the night before, overdone it, didn’t drink water before bed, didn’t take any aspirin and has the Mother Alien of all hangovers upon rising.
