So, wait…we have not one, gods bless ’em, but TWO of these covers. One says “annotated” (why?) and one doesn’t; the “annotated” one has an indecipherable and indescribable cover; this one has a battle scene, 200 years-ish in the future, on HORSEBACK and…WHUT? Whut the holy hell is going on here?
So, this one and What, Warlords of Han? or no, wait, that’s Airlords, right? Sheesh. “Annotated” and “Illustrated.” GIMME A BREAK! Couldn’t even spring for a decent cover? For either?

A thousand and nine years, to be precise, as this painting is a (historically inaccurate) depiction of a battle that took place in 1410.
That’s not Jesus but Saint Stan, yet this ain’t the whole story; costumes and arms are all over the place, like the Teutonic Order commander about to be dealt a blow by a guy dressed up as an executioner (symbolism much?). Well, I can well imagine a reenactment group in 2419 looking like this.
Uh…Armageddon 2419 AD was the first Buck Rogers story…
Yup.
And what, you boys think that this is somehow NOT related to that? You obviously missed the LookInside.

Public domain is going on here.

And here I thought ol’ Jesus there really was visibly floating over those banners…now you tell me it’s (gasp), historically inaccurate? Really?
