You can easily tell the difference between an artist who’s adopting a child-like style vs one who just doesn’t have the skill to draw better…this is the latter.
And plays a stored copy of “Apollo 13,” to use as a guidebook to successfully navigate and ditch his capsule….waving a sad goodbye to Laika (poor effing dog…)
Doddie Smith, the writer of the original The Hundred and One Dalmations, also wrote a sequel where canine aliens from the Dog Star came to London. Ever since I found out about the Soviet space program, I’ve wished that those aliens found Laika’s body, realized who was really responsible for what happened to her, and wreaked their vengeance on the USSR leadership.

Honest to god, I’ve always wondered just how. I mean…they KNEW she wasn’t coming back. That’s some cold s**t.
