The idea of Ascended Masters is v. serious stuff in some occult circles. Like, of major spiritual / religious importance.
It’s a bad cover by any standards, but to a believer in Ascended Masters it would be aggressively insulting. I suspect it’s lost the author most of the readership she was going for.
