Oh, dear. Some took a trope-filled cover genre and tried to do something “creative.”

Oh, dear. Some took a trope-filled cover genre and tried to do something “creative.”
At first I thought the secretary would be trying to run away from this cover — I wouldn’t have blamed her!
Do all sexy covers fall under “Bringing Sexy Back,” or just the ones where it seeks to work as a distraction from the other issues?
Basically anything that seems like, “It’s sexy, so it doesn’t have to be good.”
St. Pierre BROTHERS, eh?
So, lemme guess, speaking of tropes–one gay male model, one black chick, and yes, bygod, there you go, steaming hot cover! /not.
Well, one male model possibly intended to appeal to homosexuals, anyway; and a black gal going all Zazie Beetz with him. Actually, this image would have been deemed a pretty decent layering job back in the 1980s. These days, though, everybody’s seen enough CGI in their movies to recognize the background (and foreground) as fake despite the meticulous anti-aliasing.

too sexy for my shirt…” ♩

Hmmm… Looks like your comments system doesn’t like links to Vimeo.
Not any of the links individually — the spam filter raises an eyebrow at too many links, all at once, and for some reason there’s a separate HTML tag around each symbol.
