LOL, omg, you are so right. “Okay, Fred, it’s your turn for Honey Bucket Detail! Wait, Fred…why are you careening so close to that planet there—?”
Yeah, I could make a joke about flying space shower heads, but I tell you, I worked months and months on trying to do a kick-ass UFO illustration for one of my own books and I tell you it wasn’t easy. Results in fact tempted me to just turn the drawing upside down & run it in a later book (tragically unfinished) because people would probably not even notice the difference.
Maybe the difficulty factor is the Cover Gods’ way of telling you that a flying saucer illo is the wrong path, eh?
