There are enough improvements in this batch that I don’t feel guilty presenting it to you.

Yup, there are definitely plenty of really improved covers here.

I cannot say that From Beyond our World is improved. The Papyrus hurts it but the original cover’s artwork was far more evocative.
Stained Fortune–the improvement is VAST. well done.
Feminized: just say no to either.
Walk a new Way–much better. Still not a book I would pick up, mind you, but much better.
Arid Alarm–worlds better, no pun intended.
An eye for death: sigh. Keep swingin’ for the bleachers, folks.
Mrs. Caldicott’s Cabbage War–neither is viable but at least the first one had a recognizable face on it. Now? Nada.
Instant Family screams self-published both times. Nothing there.
Likely Suspects–looks like a cover you’d see in the Drugstore, so…good job making it far more commercial.
The Law and Annabelle: Man…it’s hard.The new cover is absolutely better, but I still dislike both.

Yes, I agree. I thought the first one was QUITE a bit better. Still not good, mind you, but it’s gone from amateurish to Smashwords-self-published.

The author says: My Mother is told mostly in the first-person narrative and from the author’s point of view. As usual, it seems somewhat morbid to dwell on the deaths of the year without also recognizing the births of the same year… but with extremely few exceptions (I’m a grandfather now!), we don’t know which of the millions who came into the world this year will be familiar to us by the end of...
