I prefer the Frank Miller version of Endangered Species Superheroes. Gets away from the campy, silly Endangered Species Superheroes of yesteryear’s TV and back to the original dark, brooding, psychotic Endangered Species Superheroes of the 30s and 40s.

Did our poacher super villain hypnotize the rhino? Because I’m pretty sure that’s what the swirly eyes represent in this sort of art.

It’s kinda in the style of those old NickToons; except, y’know, with no budget.
I certainly can’t draw even that well, but why are all the open eyes concentric? It makes them look like they are in the process of being hypnotized like Mr Rhino. Even I know a touch of eccentricity goes a long way to add life to an illustrated character.
WQaaahl, a name like “Dakota Duncan” implies that a child drew it–as parents started adopting “Dakota” as a girl’s name after Dakota Fanning first appeared in “Taken.” So…that’s my bet.
Someone, somewhere, thought that publishing their child’s comic book was a good idea. It’s not, but…{shrug}, if people don’t have the sense to realize that…well.
Two human children can mean anything of any age. 🙂

Not sure what the dynasaur critter was actually intended to be (iguana? porcupine?), but… a tapir almost as big as a rhino? Or maybe even bigger, given the perspective? Also, Mr. Rhino’s eye ain’t swirly but concentric (bullseyed) too, only uncolored.

Although I know at least one Dakota in his (yes, his) thirties.
How old do you think Dakota Fanning is? 12? She’s approaching 30. (And yes, I’d known a few make Dakotas, pre-Fanning, but as a woman’s name…)
Amazon About Dakota Duncan page”Dakota Duncan is known as “Mom” to two human children, two dogs, and two cats.”
